Barbel Basics Poster
Poster Design
For the Poster, I wanted to create a loud impactful visual design that would contrast itself from the other traditional posters viewable at the Archtype gyms, grabbing the attention and chellenging on-lookers. I arranged a photo shoot with Mark to get the main visuals used for the various forms of marketing collateral.

multiple tabloid sized posters were printed to test readability from different angles and lighting. This also allowed me to find slight visual issues that may not have been as apparent on a computer screen.
Business Card
For the business card, I used typography to create a bold language that seeks to challenge the viewer. Grittier type forms such as League Gothic and Shortcut helped express the ideas of strength and endurance. The multiply effect and grouping were used to turn the text into a mask in Indesign, which created the typography lighting effect.

Flyers
The Flyer marries design elements from the Business Card and Flyer to create the visual language for the Flyer. Given the nature of the medium, the intensity of the design was pushed back to accomodate for the audience.

Playthrough 2024
During Playthrough 2024, I was place in charge of organizing the coordination, volunteers, and display of the 'Signal to Noise: Live' and 'Multiplayer Local' booths. This included designing and coordinating the creation of the arcade cabinet for the booth. In addition, I also created additional marketing material for both companies.

I worked with Mike Polythress to design and construct the cabinet for 'Signal to Noise: Live'. The image to the left is a mockup illustration; the image to the right is the finished product.

I created a series of catalogs to show what games were available to play at the 'Multioplayer Local' booth. I designed the catalogs to model after game advertisements that were used for the appropriate generation of consoles.

Finally, I created a looping video presentation for additional marketing. I used propresenter for its immediate updating capabilities, allowing me to update slides and remove slides without having to pause our efforts.

Business Cards
Chris requested 3x3 business cards. Below are matted variants of the card on 32pt weight cardstock.

Chris also requested a traditional business card for a subsidiary organization he is a part of. The Tactical Civics card was printed on a more traditional 16pt 130lbs glossy card.
Flyers
I created a traditional Flyers for Chris for marketing at a specified housing district. For that purpose, the services were focused on housing development. Flyers were printed in house on a traditional 5x7 double-sided glossy flyers at 9.5 mil 200gsm.

Adverts/Banners
As part of our contract, I create new slides to market products and services as they become available. Below are a sample of slides without text. Text is added through the backend of WordPress to allow for variance in product marketing

For the slides, I broke my visual rules to make the visuals stand out. This also allows for faster conversion to keep slides current.
